What to do after an auto accident

We understand being in an accident can be very stressful/overwhelming. It’s important to have proper documentation for your insurance claim. Make sure to take photos of the damage and get the insurance information from any other parties involved.

Most importantly we want to know; Is everyone okay?

Here is a check list of documents you may need.

After being in an auto accident:

1. Call the police and/or an ambulance if necessary

2. Call your agent with the following information:

a. Who was in the vehicle with you and is anyone hurt or needing medical attention?

b. What vehicle you were driving?

c. Where did the accident happen?

d. Approximately what time was it?

e. What were the circumstances that caused the accident?

f.  Does your vehicle need owed/ is it drivable?

g. Do you need a rental car?

h. Were the police called? if yes:

1.  Did you receive a police report?
2.  What county?
3.  What was the officer’s name?
